Legislative Advocacy

Early in each year, we partner with other like-minded organizations and head to Jefferson City, Missouri for our annual Advocacy Day.   Contact us for more information on our next legislative advocacy day.

Large numbers of legislators and staffers attend our presentations.  The handout we provided at the 2013 legislative breakfast can be found here.

Tell your Missouri legislators what you think by contacting them through the "Find My Legislator" databases for the Senate or House of Representatives.

Community Advocacy

It may not always feel like it, but 80% of parents support comprehensive sexual health education. Schools may not realize this, so encourage your school to teach medically accurate, age-appropriate, comprehensive sexual health education.

It is important to know what your child's school  teaches about sexuality education.  School officials are typically very responsive to parental inquiries and are also required by law to divulge the curricula they use.  Do not depend on your school to teach sexual health education, look out our Tips for Talking to Youth for help.
